Job Description Summary of Work Activities and Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Assistant to the VP for HR / Employee Engagement Head, the HR Officer for Employee Engagement will assist in developing and monitoring employee engagement programs.
Main Duties and Responsibilities I. Employee Engagement and Experience Keeps track of updates and developments that affect the University, the community, and the external situation. Keeps abreast of the latest HR/OD practices, labor regulations, and professional requirements that affect employee experience. Benchmarks industry and general community methods and practices to measure and recognize the different levels of employee engagements. Monitors HR/OD policies and systems that affect employment conditions and employee well-being. Researches best practices on employee engagement plan based on sound practices and benchmark data. Researches, identifies and interprets current and emerging employee engagement and experience concerns, trends, and opportunities. Conducts studies to ascertain baseline engagement scores and surface gaps. Collects and analyzes data and trends to identify its causes, and makes recommendations to improve employee engagement and experience. Builds partnerships with all levels of employees based on their profiles[MC1] , with the intention of understanding their needs and creating programs to address these. Recommends improvements in the HR/OD systems, processes, and programs that affect employee engagement and experience Designs and implements responsive University-wide programs, initiatives, and communications to strengthen and build a culture that supports engagement. Assists in the creation of programs to ensure the promotion of employee productivity, while keeping in mind work-life balance. Carries out employee engagement and experience interventions and initiatives as assigned by the Employee Engagement Head. Assists in monitoring, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating projects, keeping track of the deliverables, timelines and agreements. (Co)Facilitates individual and group discussions, and workshops towards the achievement of the required process. Proposes action points and process improvements, based on what is applicable and realistic given the unit's context. Works with the different HR/OD teams in creating programs to address the employee engagement concerns. II. Administrative Functions Assists in monitoring, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating all the employee engagement projects, keeping track of the deliverables, timelines, agreements, including possible sustainability measures. Ensures all accountabilities are delivered, including payments to suppliers and contractors. Assists in budgeting for the operational requirements of employee engagement. Assists in communicating the programs of the Office to unit heads and employees. Manages and keeps the project team abreast of developments, when necessary. Oversees the coordination, logistical, and resource requirements of the OVPHR projects and activities. Documents all meetings, proceedings, and events of the Office's projects and activities III. Perform other duties as may be required by the Immediate Supervisor and authorized representative. Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience Requirements: Graduate of management or any related course. Master's degree will be an advantage. Two- (2) year experience in conceptualizing employee engagement programs Two- (2) year experience facilitating learning interventions Two- (2) year experience in managing and partnering with clients Experience or knowledge on several work process improvement, organizational design, people analytics.
