Deputy Director Of Care Services

The Organisation:
Our client enjoys a strong relationship with their community and is focused on delivering services to meet identified community needs. As the DDCS, you will be working in a Medium sized facility providing both high and low care. This team works hard to provide an atmosphere where the residents are comfortable and can feel at home.
Duties:
Provides clinical leadership to registered and enrolled nurses
Leads the provision of best practice care
Creates a positive workplace culture
Facilitates staff development
Ensures care and lifestyle interventions are delivered to meet the Quality Standards
Manages care complaints and critical incidents
LeadsOpen Disclosure conversations
Oversights ACFI optimization
Oversights rostering of care staff
Manages recruitment of care staff
Ensures staff are trained to meet legislative requirements
Works with other members of the Senior Leadership Team to implement the Strategic Plan
Chairs/participates the relevant committees
Maintains a safe working environment
Acts as Emergency Coordinator as required

Mandatory Requirements:
Ability to translate the Quality Standards into clinical practice
Change management & Clinical leadership Experience
HR management
Excellent communication with all stakeholders
Ability to optimise funding instruments – ACFI
Tertiary qualification in Nursing with current AHPRA registration
Strong clinical knowledge with at least three (3) years’ experience working as a clinician (Registered Nurse, Nurse Unit Manager or similar)
National Police check
Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents Only

Desirable
Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word, Excel & Outlook) and experience in the use of an aged care database/software program
