Construction Manager

Job Description:
We are looking for a Construction Manager to plan all of the company’s construction projects and oversee their progress along the way in a timely and cost-effective manner. You will be representing us, as the client, and will be interfacing with our contractors. Your responsibility will be to protect our investment in the projects by representing us on construction sites and during meetings with 3rd parties.

You will be responsible for budgeting, organization, implementation and scheduling of the projects.


Oversee and direct all of the company’s construction projects from groundbreaking to completion. Before groundbreaking, work closely with the company architects and engineers to go over plans and blueprints, making timetables for the project, determining material and labor costs and negotiating with and hiring contractors. Develop construction sequencing for specific scopes of work during the planning stages. Oversee all onsite and offsite construction to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations. Review the progress of contractors on a daily basis. Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status. Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones. Negotiate terms of agreements with contractors. Assist the contractor in the obtainment of permits and licenses. Hiring, assignment and oversight of site engineers. Minimum Qualifications:
Proven working experience in construction management. Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods. Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules and quality standards. Familiarity with construction management software. Proficient in reading and vetting architectural and engineering plans. Ability to plan and see the big picture. Competent in conflict and crisis management. Leadership and human resources management skills. Excellent time and project management skills. Exemplary communication skills in both Tagalog and English. BS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field. Experience dealing with local authorities in Makati a plus. International experience also a plus.
