Research And Development Engineer - Cavite

Responsibilities:
• Will focus on new product/process development, and advance processes for laboratory, pilot, and full-scale manufacturing.
• Continuous improvement of the existing processes, procedures and equipment as well as development of new and innovative approaches.
• Will serve as PMD’s resource serving internal needs within areas of expertise.
• Develop strong capabilities across the wide range of materials in areas including product specification, equipment and process design, process development, material production, material characterization, and quality control.
• Process theories, equipment fundamentals and engineering principles from which the processes will be anchored are fully researched and employed.
• Test procedures, data and results are fully documented (test plans and results, timelines, reports, work instructions, proposals, diagrams, etc.) in fulfillment of the Quality Management System requirements.
Qualifications:
• Hands-on experience in developing and documenting production processes and equipment preferably in a hydrometallurgical, extractive chemistry or mining engineering setup.
• In-depth knowledge of standard chemical laboratory methods and practices with hands-on experience in operating analytical tools such as AAS, ICP-MS, GDMS, OES and XRF.
• Understanding of DOE and statistical data analysis.
• Strong computer skills. Knowledge in the use of SPC tools such as Minitab and JMP is a plus.
• At least three (3) years of experience in extractive metallurgy, analytical chemistry
