Duties and Responsibilities Ensures staff compliance to the quality and safety policies and participates in the revision of policies for all units under his/her group. Ascertains timely and appropriate corrective or preventive actions in managing safety related incidents as well as ensuring pro-active measures to avoid occurrence or recurrence in all nursing units under the department. Monitors compliance of Headnurses/ Charge Nurses to the policy/ protocol in reporting, documenting and escalating safety incidents. Implements corrective/ preventive measures for non-conformances or delay. Ensures appropriate skills mix of work force in the nursing units in consideration of staff competency with reference to patient acuity and available resources. Collaborates with Asst. Chief or Shift Manager in reviewing work schedules, staffing patterns, assignments, level of personnel needed, and patients' classification. Participates in the analysis of staffing level and manpower requirement. Educational requirements Registered nurse with at least nine (9) units in management and administration courses at the graduate level. Have at least 4 years experience in nursing, inclusive of 2 years Nursing Administration Experience. Inter- Relationships: Collaborates with all nurse managers, Department/ units under Operations group, Finance and Medical Affairs on matters related to patient care, training and operations related concerns. Working Conditions: Work is performed in a standard office environment. Job duties involve conceptual analysis and the resolution of complex problems and situations. May be required to report on rotating shifts and perform the duties of the Shift Manager or the Training Officer , in their absence. Job Type: Full-time
