Manufacturing Technician

Job description

Performs preventive maintenance for the process machines in the production area. Record any maintenance job, PM or reactive maintenance done in the machine Response to a Job Order in a timely manner Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair. Inspect or test damaged machine parts, and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair needs based on standards set by the Maintenance Head. Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications Lubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment, according to specified procedures. Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work. Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems. Collect and discard worn machine parts in order to maintain machinery and work areas Record production, repair, and machine maintenance information Set up and operate machines, and adjust controls to regulate operations

Job Qualifications

Knowledge in the mechanical operation of common process machines like bagging machine, cutting equipment, extruders, conveyors, and cooking machines. Technical School graduate. At least 3 years working experience Knowledge in the operation of machine shop tools like welding machines, lathe and milling machines. Knowledge in tools for maintaining, repairing and setting up a process machine. Team-player, results-oriented and highly motivated. Ability to listen and relay information properly. Willing to work on Sundays or Night shifts.
