Job Description:
Reporting to the Director of International Accounting, the International Accounting and Consolidation Manager will be directly responsible for all aspects of accounting for our international subsidiaries, intercompany transactions and consolidations.
Responsibilities:
Global compliance for 20+ legal entities
Responsible for oversight of all intercompany transactions and processes, including compliance with Intercompany Transfer Pricing agreements, as well as the completeness and accuracy of the Intercompany accounts, and eliminations
Partner with our legal team, tax and HR in setting up new foreign entities
Manage the local statutory audits of foreign entities & help with internal audit
Establish appropriate internal controls related to managing foreign operations & transfer pricing
Assist with internal and external audits for foreign subsidiaries
Responsible for setting up international finance operations, as well as helping the business starting up operations in foreign territories
Work with tax on international VAT accounting, reconciliations and returns
Responsible for funding all subsidiaries as needed
Mentor and train staff
Qualifications & Skills:
BA/BS in Accounting or Finance with a solid understanding of GAAP and IFRS; CPA strongly preferred
8-10 years of relevant work experience, Big 4 experience strongly preferred
Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and excellent work ethic
Detailed oriented, strong organizational and time management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively both individually and as a team
Knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial statements and corporate reporting
Solid reconciliation and analysis skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and NetSuite or other large ERP
