Events Manager Qualifications
With At least 3 years of work experience as Events Executive in 4 or 5 Star Hotels Knowledgeable - BEO, P&L, Budget, Events Contracts Excellent communication skills Responsible for all activities related to developing, managing and establishing catering sales revenue and operations budget to achieve sales targets and support company objectives. Specific responsibilities include budgeting and establishing financial targets and forecasts; developing packages and promotional activities; monitoring and managing banquet equipment; and supervising and guiding the Banquets Team.
·  Assists the Assistant Director of Sales in developing packages and promotions for the Company and recommends catering sales and marketing activities throughout the year to achieve set goals and targets.
·      Helps to contribute in actively generating new catering business leads and servicing existing contracts.
·      Makes certain that the standards across all Seda Hotels are in accordance with the Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators set by Management.
·      Checks and reports any equipment faults to the Management, ensures they are rectified and makes sure equipment is not used until safe.
·      Ensure tariff prices are correct, that all catering services are appraised and priced properly.
·      Planning menus in coordination with the Executive Chef/Executive Sous Chefs.
·      Development and maintenance of all department control procedures and recommend changes if needed.
·      Development and maintenance of department manual.
·      Consistent check of Banquet Food and Beverage quality, Banquet services and Plate presentation.
·      Manage all aspects of account (soliciting, booking, creating BEOs to conducting coordination meetings).
·      Evaluate operations against the established goals and objectives of Dining Services and the mission of the hotel.
·      Maintains strong professional and productive business relationship with clients and build loyalty to encourage repeat business.
·      Develops and offers personalized solutions for our clients and enhance our reputation and business by working with our Banquet Operations Team to ensure we exceed our clienteleâs expectations.
·      Guides and motivates staff to deliver quality work and meet set targets in respective key results areas by opening lines of communication, constant monitoring and evaluation of individual performance, coaching and training and implementing an acceptable reward system.
·      Sets targets for the Banquets Team to achieve the departmentâs goal through efficient catering sales activities.
·      Conducts weekly meetings with members of the Banquets unit to discuss catering sales concerns, hotel updates and feedback and other relevant issues.
·      Submits required weekly or monthly report to properly monitor departmentâs cost and revenue
·      Submits relevant reports required by EXCOM members from time to time.
·      Performs other tasks that may be superior from time to time in relation to achieving department goals.
