Director/Senior Director Of Accounting

Key Responsibilities:• Financial Leadership:• Provide strategic direction and leadership to the accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.• Collaborate with executive leadership to contribute to financial planning and decision-making processes.• Financial Reporting and Compliance:• Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.• Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and ensure timely implementation of new regulations.• Team Management:• Lead and develop a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.• Mentor and train team members to enhance their technical skills and professional development.• Budgeting and Forecasting:• Collaborate with other departments to develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts.• Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgets, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.• Internal Controls:• Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records.• Conduct periodic internal audits to identify and mitigate financial risks.• External Audit Coordination:• Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors during annual audits, providing necessary documentation and ensuring a smooth audit process.• Address any audit findings and implement corrective actions as needed.• Process Optimization:• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accounting processes, improving efficiency and accuracy.• Implement best practices for financial operations and reporting.Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation is required; an MBA is a plus.• Extensive experience in progressively responsible roles within accounting and finance, including leadership positions.• Thorough understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.• Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems
