A DevOps engineer with Amazon Web Services experience. You will work to build
AWS services that support our custom Python applications.In this role, you’ll work
collaboratively with software engineering to deploy and operate our systems. Help automate
and streamline our operations and processes. Build and maintain tools for deployment,
monitoring and operations. And troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test and
production environments.
Qualifications:
-Minimum of 5 years experience as a DevOps engineer for a mission critical 24X7
SaaS or PaaS service
-Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration
-Experience with automation/configuration management using either Salt, Puppet,
Chef or an equivalent
-Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services
(experience with AWS is required)
-Experience with database systems management, SQL and Key/Value experience is
a plus, too, since we also use Postgres and Aerospike
-A working understanding of code and scripting (Python strongly prefered)
-Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
