Job descriptionWe are currently seeking a highly skilled Design and Cost Manager specializing in Weak Current and Auxiliary Systems to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, planning, and cost management aspects of weak current and auxiliary systems, ensuring they meet project requirements, technical standards, and budget constraints. Your expertise will be pivotal in delivering efficient, reliable, and cost-effective systems for a variety of construction projects.Responsibilities:1. Design Management- Lead the design development for weak current and auxiliary systems, encompassing communication networks, security systems, fire detection systems, and other low-voltage installations.- Collaborate closely with engineering teams, architects, and stakeholders to develop comprehensive design plans and specifications that align with project goals and regulatory requirements.- Review design proposals, drawings, and technical specifications to ensure accuracy, functionality, and compliance with industry standards.- Provide technical guidance and expertise throughout the design phase to optimize system performance and reliability.2. Cost Management- Develop detailed cost estimates and budgets for weak current and auxiliary systems, considering equipment, materials, labor, and installation costs.- Monitor project costs and expenditures, identifying cost-saving opportunities and potential risks.- Conduct value engineering analyses to optimize system costs while maintaining quality and performance - standards.- Prepare regular cost reports, forecasts, and variance analyses, providing accurate financial information to project stakeholders.3. Procurement and Vendor Management- Coordinate procurement activities for system components, equipment, and materials, including vendor selection, bidding processes, and contract negotiations.- Evaluate vendor proposals and subcontractor bids, ensuring alignment with project requirements and budgetary constraints.- Manage vendor relationships and subcontractor performance, monitoring delivery schedules and quality of workmanship.4.
