Responsibilities
• Manage and oversee entire accounting team• Conduct necessary training to keep team's skills and knowledge up to date• Ensure proper tax interviews with clients• Request, collect, and compile necessary documents• Review income tax returns for accuracy• Advise business owners and individuals on tax code• Process state and federal payroll taxes• Maintain client relationships and mentor/train junior staff• Address potential compliance issues proactively• Uphold firm's excellent reputation and compliance with regulations• Maintain constant communication with IRS, state agencies, and clients• Implement tax consults and onboarding procedures for new clients• Organize and update client files• Collaborate with other teams to achieve shared goals• Report directly to operations manager
Requirements
• Experience in accounting and tax compliance• Knowledge of tax code and regulations• Strong communication and mentorship skills• Organizational and attention to detail skills• Ability to work collaboratively with other teams• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred• CPA certification is a plus
