Duties and Responsibilities
• Responsible for maintaining and develop all parts of a complex website system.
• Plan and implement model data structures for scalability for Cloud computing integration.
• Participate in all phases of the web development life cycle
• Work on the maintenance and improvement of existing data structures.
• Research, evaluate and analyze technical and design requirements.
• Troubleshoot and fix bugs/flaws to ensure servers are running optimally.
• Incorporate standards-based development processes for website and web/mobile applications.
• Assist with website strategy and planning.
• Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices
• Review codes provided by 3rd party providers.
• Integrate data from various back-end services and databases to front end application.
• Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
• Create and maintain software documentation and operational manuals.
• Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling the company site
• Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities
• Cooperate with graphic designers and marketing people to match visual design intent.
• Establishes Web system specifications by analyzing access, information, and security requirements, designing system infrastructure.
• Establishes Web system by planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of server hardware, software, and operating and system management systems, defining system and operational policies and procedures.
• Maintains Web system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting system hardware, software, and operating and system management systems; designing and running system load/stress testing; escalating application problems to vendor.
• Secures Web system by developing system access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; establishing and testing disaster recovery policies and procedures; completing back-ups; maintaining documentation.
• Upgrades Web system by conferring with vendors and services; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements and new software.
• Ensures timely resolutions of the Website and domain issues.
• Creation of reports related to Website uptime, performance, statistical data, trouble shooting, remedial measures.Qualifications:• Male / Female, 25 - 35 years old. Bachelor of Science in IT, Computer Science or Programming.
• Must have 5-10 years’ experience putting up a managed premium website, banking or finance application and an online e-commerce platform.
• Proven working experience in web programming, projects and administration.
• A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
• Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming and web application development
• Knowledgeable and with skills in administering AWS platform.
• Knowledge on Content management system (CMS) development, deployment, and maintenance
• Knowledge and skills using Node.js, Angular.js, MySQL, SQLite, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Docker, RabbitMQ and Redis.
• Top-notch programming skills and in-depth knowledge of modern standard IIS, HTML, CSS, PHP, PYTHON, Java, .NET language, C++, C#.
• Knowledgeable in using REST and SOAP APIs.
• Knowledgeable in deploying security certificates like SSL.
• Knowledgeable and with skills in developing IOS and Android apps is a definite advantage.
• Knowledge in Adobe Photoshop for graphic designing would be a definite advantage.
• Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization process
• Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills
• Really good understanding of the Linux ecosystem and experience with server management
• Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet
• Experience with high availability solutions (load balancing, HA Proxy…)
• Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen
• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques.
• Sprint and Agile methodology skills in completing such projects.
