Job Description
The instructional faculty member shall have the primary responsibilities of teaching, research/creative achievement, and service functions and shall be held accountable for these obligations as they contribute to the attainment of the mission of the University, the School, and the Department. The instructional faculty shall serve on university councils and committees as elected or appointed.
Required Qualifications
Doctoral degree in History;
educational preparation in accordance with requirements of the University and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools; and
evidence of potential for effective teaching and scholarly activity.

Preferred Qualifications
research and training in twentieth-century U.S. History with a focus on social and cultural history. Background in African American History or Latin American History is desirable. An interest in and/or experience with online teaching is also desirable.
