Position Overview:
The Payroll Associate provides administrative support for all timekeeping and payroll functions to ensure fair, accurate, efficient and timely processing and payment monetary compensation to employees across the employee life cycle, in accordance with labor standards and company policies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Payroll Associate shall perform duties and responsibilities including, but not limited to:
Maintain a clear working knowledge and understanding of the company’s payroll policy, schedule, controls, and system
Monitor employee timesheets on a regular basis, ensure schedules are entered correctly, and provide support by responding queries related to proper time and attendance filing including overtime, paid time off, or holidays
Coordinate with points-of-contact (POC) employees for the timely collation and submission of payroll disputes within the prescribed post-run payroll period
Encode and collate data required for payroll processing, including but not limited to: time and attendance data, employee action data, new hire data, separated employee data, and earnings and deduction data
Assist the Payroll Specialist in all various aspects of payroll preparation and process, which may include but are not limited to:Entering and maintaining correct and updated employee payroll data in the system
Collating and locking timesheets every cut-off;
running the semi-monthly payroll, making sure all processes and procedures are carried out in accordance with defined standards
reconciling payroll discrepancies by reviewing dispute submissions against attendance records, pay computation, and other information in the system
providing payroll information and guidance to staff, and responding to payroll-related queries
Preparing and reconciling government mandated deductions and other month-end processes, in coordination with the benefits team
Coordinating with payroll system vendor on system issues and service requests
Providing employees payroll documentation, such as payslips
Computing for final pay or other terminal payments due to separated employee
Processing 13th month pay, leave conversions, and tax refunds or payables

Participate in all payroll-related meetings (pre-payroll, payroll processing, post-payroll, etc.)
Encode and collate data required for tax reporting, annualization, etc.
Maintain integrity and confidentiality in handling employee personal and payroll information
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations
Other duties as may be assigned

Requirements
At least 2 years relevant work experience in payroll, preferably in BPO setting
Bachelor’s degree in a accountancy, finance, or business-related discipline
CPA or Payroll Certification, preferred but not required
Good working knowledge of Philippine labor standards impacting payroll, such as but not limited to: monthly and daily salary computation, premium pay, etc.
Strong numeracy, analytical and detail orientation skills
Good comprehension and communication skills
Highly organized with excellent time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills
High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Able to work on shifting schedules, including nightshift
Can start ASAP
