JOB SUMMARY:Under the supervision of the Manager, the Technical Writer is responsible for the smooth execution, as well as the effective delivery, of Proposals and other technical writing tasks required for Environmental, Sustainability and Governance (ESG) projects, inclusive of the achievement of set KPIs.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The Technical Writer must be able to:1. Develop proposal content that:
Meets the technical specifications of the received Request for Proposals (RFP), Request for Qualifications (RFQ), Request for Information (RFI);
Meets the target reader’s expectations (whether technical, operational, or executive level); and
Effectively follows set style guides.2.
Effectively work with US-based subject matter experts during the proposal writing process, and submit high-quality proposals within set timelines.3. Effectively work with teams in the assessment of proposal requests and provide estimation of the time required to develop and submit proposal drafts.4. Develop other technical documents such as environmental reports, operations manual, and other deliverable, as necessary.5. Perform other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Secondary Education (major in English); AB English; AB Creative Writing; AB Communication; AB Journalism; BS Development Communication; AB Literature, AB Language and Literature; AB Mass Communication; as well as other communication- and English language-related courses.
At least one year experience as a Business, Technical or Proposal Writer.
Demonstrated copy editing experience is a strong advantage.
Experience in the BPO setting is a plus but not required.
Excellent technical writing skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; can effectively relate with people at all levels of the organization.
Analytical, with advance research skills.
Must be highly proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, specifically MS Word; demonstrated advance skills in word processing, styles and formatting, word forms, use of macros etc. is a plus. Knowledge and experience writing based on Chicago Manual of Styles is an advantage
