Technical Project Manager - Managed Infrastructure Services
Location: Remote (but must be residing in the Philippines)
Reports To: Director of Cloud Operations
Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Manager with experience in managed infrastructure services and cloud service platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as a deep technical background to effectively manage infrastructure projects from conception to completion.
Core Responsibilities: Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables that support business goals, collaborating with senior management and stakeholders Develop full-scale project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resources Track and monitor all project tasks, timelines, and deliverables Collaborate closely with Cloud Operations Manager and IT Architect to ensure infrastructure services are delivered effectively and efficiently Manage project risks and issues, ensuring effective communication and escalation Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget Prepare and disseminate project communications, including status reports, to stakeholders Manage the various projects information and progress on our internal ERP tool Uphold the company's core values and standards of quality in all project activities Technical Skills: CSP Familiarity: Basic understanding of Azure, GCP, or AWS services to coordinate with technical teams Web Technologies: General knowledge of how websites and web services function SLA and Metrics Understanding: Familiarity with standard SLA metrics like uptime, response time, etc Quality Assurance Tools: Basic understanding of QA tools and methodologies Reporting Tools: Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Power BI for reporting on project status, SLAs, and quality metrics Requirements
Soft Skills: Project Management: Strong organizational and planning skills, preferably with experience in agile or other project management methodologies Client Management: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for managing client expectations and building strong relationships Team Coordination: Ability to manage and coordinate between various teams like NOC, Cloud Ops, and SRE Conflict Resolution: Skill in resolving issues between stakeholders, teams, and clients Attention to Detail: Particularly in monitoring SLAs and quality metrics Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate project timelines, resources, and scope with stakeholders Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze project metrics and make data-driven decisions Business Skills: Contract Management: Understanding of contract terms, conditions, and legal implications Financial Acumen: Basic understanding of project budgeting, billing, and cost optimization Risk Management: Ability to identify, assess, and plan for project risks Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 ITIL Foundation Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or similar Microsoft Azure Fundamentals Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field Certification in Project Management (PMP or PRINCE2) Minimum 5 years experience in a project management role within a managed infrastructure environment Proven experience in project planning, execution, timing, functionality, quality, and cost Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Benefits of working as a Technical Project Manager in Philippines:
