Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
The Systems and Inventory Compliance Specialist is responsible for facilitating the flow of inventory through the ERP system, providing compliance support and process liaising between Accounting and Supply Chain Analytics to ensure accuracy of inventory information and, management and control of materials inventory.
This role is responsible for monitoring key controls around physical inventory; execute and report on inventory confirmations and physical inventory results; proactively identify risk areas and recommend solutions both for Inbound and Outbound operation. In addition, provide inventory reports and analysis as needed. Compiling overall KPI data into reportorial output per month both for inbound and outbound will also be undertaken by the Specialist.
He/She will act as the as the primary point of contact and reference for all warehouse business system questions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Coordinates Inbound Warehouse Operations to ensure that all inventories materials are received, maintained, transferred and counted in accordance with established policies and procedures.
2. Reviews inventory data for accuracy and compliance with all inventory processes, policies and procedures.
3. Validates and Checks reports by Inbound relevant analyst to monitor stock levels, demand patterns and inventory level analysis and provides support to Supply Chain Analytics Team in the sales and operations planning.
4. Provides report on inventory turns, and status (slow-moving / aging inventory, obsolete and damaged inventory) to concerned departments (i.e. Accounting and Management) for appropriate disposition.
5. Coordinates all physical inventory warehouse preparation and cutoff activities as required. Manages system requirements and control desk functions, resolve variance, and performs all final reconciliation requirements.
6. Flags non-compliance by analyzing documents, investigating and reporting inventory discrepancies to identify reasons for variance; Monitors any untraced inventory variance and reviews trends. Leads explanations for unusual variances to Accounting and management team.
7. Analyzes business data and control risk indicators related to systems and inventory management to identify potential deficiencies, training opportunities, compliance issues and potentially fraudulent activity.
8. Assists supervisors in resolving inventory issues, performs inventory adjustments, maintaining quality control standards, and completing special projects
9. Provides timely and accurate response to internal and external teams specific to required counts, balance on-hand and analysis. Initiates communication to resolve errors.
10. Compiles, verifies and reports daily and/or periodic statistical information aimed at detecting trends to improve and maintain the overall Inbound Logistics Operations and Macro and non-Macro materials Inventory Management
11. Helps address knowledge gaps (resulting from turnover, change in process or remediation plans) and trouble shoot technical or process issues as they arise.
12. Measures and monitors data for process improvement;
13. Identifies and communicates opportunities to improve efficiency of inventory management. Provide recommendations for innovation and improvements to all inventory processes, procedures and controls;
14. Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements.
15. Proactively collaborates with other departments in achieving inventory related goals.
16. Performs tasks in support of warehouse capacity planning and optimization, as assigned
Qualifications
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
Bachelor’s degree preferably in Industrial Engineering or Accounting Graduate.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
At least 1 to 2 years’ experience in production or warehousing in a feed mill companyAdditional Information
