System Administrator

Experience and Skill Requirements:
? 5+ years' experience with Linux and Unix systems administration, including but not limited to Red Hat
Enterprise Linux, CentOS, Ubuntu, and Unix variants.
? Proficiency in Microsoft products including Active Directory, O365, Azure, and Exchange Online.
? 5+ years' experience with VMware technologies: VCenter, VSphere, VCloud.
? 3+ years' experience with Enterprise network infrastructure.
? Familiarity with monitoring systems such as PRTG and backup solutions like VEEAM.
? Proficiency in scripting languages, particularly PowerShell, for automation and task optimization.
? Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
? Ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
Position Responsibilities:
? Design and implement strategies to enhance the reliability and performance of Linux and Unix-based IT
systems.
? Support, troubleshoot, and diagnose technical issues related to Linux/Unix servers, DNS, certificates,
and other systems.
? Manage and maintain Linux and Unix servers across various versions, ensuring their stability and
security.
? Collaborate with the security team to implement and adhere to security best practices and
recommendations within the Linux/Unix environment.
? Participate in regular and ad-hoc meetings to provide updates, share insights, and contribute to cross-
functional initiatives.
? Secondary Responsibilities:
? Manage Microsoft local Active Directory and Azure AD Connect.
? Oversee Azure, Intune, and O365 cloud infrastructure.
? Manage VMware vSphere environment.
? Work with other IT departments or external vendors as necessary to resolve complex technical issues.
? Assist in defining and implementing high-level functional and technical requirements based on
customer interactions or internal team needs.
Qualifications and Skills
Educational and Job Requirements:
? Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
? 5 years of experience in a similar role with a focus on Linux/Unix systems administration.
? Preferred certifications: VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP).
? Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Office 365 products.
? Familiarity with CISCO Cloud Email Security, CISCO Security Endpoint, and DUO 2FA solutions.
