Core Functions / Responsibilities Design, develop and implement SharePoint infrastructure in conjunction with the SharePoint Architect Lead.
Supervise the team of SharePoint Administrators and/or a software supplier and provide technical guidance, manage the day-to-day and technical aspects of assigned projects under implementation phase of the project life cycle.
In conjunction with the SharePoint Architect Lead and SharePoint Business Analyst, participate in determining requirements, planning technical aspects of the project to ensure that requirements are consistent, complete, correct, and operationally defined.
Formulate plans, timelines, and milestones and enumerate deliverables for assigned projects.
Plan for SharePoint upgrades and implement SharePoint Infrastructure changes; install systems and components to achieve required standards.
Approve, direct and ensure SharePoint application deployment in Production system adhere to required best practices and standards.
Direct the day to day administration, support, maintenance and monitoring of IOM’s SharePoint infrastructure.
Analyze performance problems and implement solutions to enhance functionality, reliability, and/or usability.
Develop and implement plans for continues monitoring strategy for SharePoint Infrastructure and Microsoft Office Online.
Function as the technical lead in dealing with incident management related to SharePoint business applications and work as the Tier 3 support for issues related to those services.
Coordinate with other team leaders and business users to ensure smooth implementation of various SharePoint applications.
Plan, develop and implement backup and recovery procedure for SharePoint Infrastructure.
Act as the focal point for disaster recovery and business continuity of the SharePoint Infrastructure.
Ensure 24/7 high availability of the IOM SharePoint domain.
Perform other related duties as may be assigned including projects related tasks.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education
Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or any related field from an accredited academic institution with relevant professional experience;
University degree in the above fields with two years of relevant professional experience. Experience
Relevant work experience in designing, installation, managing and administering SharePoint 2010/2013/2016 Farm.
Experience in Windows 2008/2012 Administration.
Knowledge of Windows server platforms. Understanding of active directory and SQL server 2012 is a distinct advantage.
Good, analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to handle a range of troubleshooting tasks.
Formal training and knowledge of managing latest production versions of Microsoft SharePoint environment; Professional SharePoint certification highly desirable;
Experience in technical writing and documentation an asset; ability to train helpdesk staff on Tier 1 and Tier 2 Support an advantage;
Formal training, knowledge of and experience in the maintaining and administering Microsoft SharePoint 2013 platforms and related solutions; experienced in managing Web Content Management systems and implementing ECM solutions;
Commitment, efficiency, flexibility, self-motivation, creative thinking and strong organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds .
Languages
Fluency in English is required. Working knowledge of French and/or Spanish an advantage.
