Position: APAC Senior Revenue AnalystLocation: Manila, PhilippinesSummary of the Position:
Reporting directly to the APAC Assistant Controller, the APAC Senior Revenue Analyst will be responsible for tasks related to on premise license and services revenue recognition. The individual will be instrumental in ensuring the accurate reporting of revenue and accounting data as part of the monthly revenue close process. The Senior Revenue Analyst will assist in the coordination, accounting and review of sales related transactions.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Prepare and maintain monthly revenue and deferred revenue reconciliationsReview/approve sales orders against company policy. Advise sales and finance operations teams of any inconsistencies against policy and recommend corrective actionAssist with the review of sales opportunities, contracts and non-standard transactions – provide appropriate accounting guidance and propose solutions within Company’s revenue recognition policyEnsure GAAP compliance across all functions in the order to cash cyclePrepare analysis and journal entries as necessary to support the month end close processWork with external audit directly on an interim and annual basis for the compliance reviews, yearly annual audit, VSOE testing and reporting, etc.Review services transactions quarterly for VSOE complianceAssist with the updating of internal controls for the order to cash cycle and related SOX compliance processPrepare ad hoc analysis, when neededQualifications (knowledge, skills, abilities):
Highly organized, with great attention to detailAbility to interact effectively with sales and product teams, functional peer groups and subordinates and to gain cooperation from others, especially those in other departments, as well as with outside auditors and outside legal counselConfidence and proven record to communicate both orally and written, including the dissemination of technical informationAbility to work independently and take ownership of multiple concurrent and diversified tasks, while working with deadlinesRequirements (Education, Certification, Training, and Experience):Minimum 5 years of related Revenue Recognition experience or Big4 ExperienceExperience with software clients and/or industry with revenue backgroundWorking knowledge of Software Revenue Recognitions Accounting - ASC 606Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related requiredCPA or MBA preferred.Good communications skills required.Experience using Salesforce.com, OpenAir, RevPro and NetSuite a plusPrior experience with SaaS company is a plusPreferred:
Public accounting experienceSuper user in Excel, ADVANCED (Pivoting, VLOOKUP)Problem solver: Candidate should be a strong, analytical problem solver with a common sense and practical solutions orientation
