About the role
Core Accountabilities:
Ensure that the accounting activities (period end close, cost accounting, accruals, cost allocations, monthly inventory review in preparation for analysis and ledger closure) for the respective assets within the Americas region are performed accurately to facilitate informed business decisions and meet compliance requirements.
Perform final cost/results review for the respective assets in preparation for ledger close to ensure accuracy and completeness of the results
Liaise with the Finance Business Partners, Accounting and Reporting and Operations teams across the Americas region and assist with issues, queries and requests
Support the open communication, collaboration, sharing of ideas and information within the Finance GAS Accounting and Reporting teams and Finance Business Partners
Contribute to and support global process standardization within Finance and continuous improvementAbout You
The successful candidate should possess:
Professional qualifications in Accounting or Finance including accounting body certification (CA / ACCA / CPA / CIMA etc.)
Minimum of 5 years' experience working with a large corporate or professional environment
Sound knowledge of accounting process
Experience in SAP application in related accounting areas
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to work collaboratively with senior stakeholders and be proactive in a complex environment with strict timelines.
Ability to problem solve
