Software Quality Assurance

As a Software QA/QC professional with an accounting background, your main job is to make sure financial software works correctly. You'll work with different teams, creating and carrying out tests to ensure the software accurately handles accounting tasks. Your role is crucial for maintaining accuracy, reliability, and compliance in financial applications.Job Qualifications: *A relevant bachelor's degree, such as in accounting or related field. *Solid grasp of accounting principles, financial procedures, and applicable regulations. *Having experience in various testing techniques, methodologies and tools is a plus. *Demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, along with attention to detail. *Effective communications skills for documenting test cases, reporting defects and collaborating with diverse teams. *Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and familiarity with industry-specific accounting practices. *Having certification in QA/QC is an advantage.Job Responsibilities: *Thoroughly test financial software applications to validate data accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and overall system reliability. *Identify, document, and monitor software defects, closely collaborating with the development team for prompt resolution. *Test software updates to make sure they don't affect existing accounting features through regression, integration, and user acceptance testing. *Work with software developers, consultants, and accounting professionals to understand system requirements and create efficient test cases. *Contribute insights for continuous improvement initiatives, proposing refinements for financial processes within the software. *Keep updated on industry best practices and accounting standards to improve testing practices
