Management of VMs, creation, modification of resources, and installation of Windows and Linux like OS. Deployment of VMWare tools, taking timely snapshots, and its restoration in case of issues. Management of ESXi host, design, and architecture, install and setup, clustering, monitoring, and maintenance. Setup of VMWare cluster, ensuring a high availability of ESXi host servers. Configuration of distributed resource scheduler (DRS) and vMotion to balance ESXi host workloads. VM cloning, template creation, and exporting and importing to OVF package. What you should have:
Minimum 5 years' solid work experience in an IT Operations environment Experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining VMs and ESXi in a clustered environment Deep understanding on network concepts and protocols. Deep knowledge of environmental monitoring tools (Nagios, Splunk, BMS, Zabbix, Solar Winds) Deep knowledge in VMWare backup and restoration of critical components and configuration. Exciting enough?
