The Risk Services aligns to the Corporate services organization and supports the current, expected demand for business process risk management. The Risk Services team supports line of business risk management and the corporate risk management.
About the Role
The incumbent will be responsible for Global Delivery Risk Management for Payments, Virtual Solutions and Innovation businesses within the Wells Fargo Manila
Responsibilities
- Responsible for effectively managing operational risk management and compliance activities for Payments, Virtual Solutions and Innovation (PVSI) offshore operations and collaborating with the lines of business teams. Risk and Control assessment and reporting is an important aspect of the overall responsibilities and proficiency in this area to meet the needs of various stakeholders is an essential requirement
- Manage relationship with lines of business risk team within PVSI, potentially or actually commencing business operations; working closely with the Transitions team. Understanding of transition framework and the nuances of risk management during transition of processes are an important requirement
- Being part of the Global delivery Risk team, engage with enterprise line of business and act as a single point of contact from a risk standpoint
- Partner, support and liaise closely with the Wells Fargo's Risk Program Support team to implement all key operational risk components in the assigned area (offshore) including Information Security
- Partner and support Business Continuity, Records Management, Regulatory Compliance and Process Control review activities
- Integrate and ensure all risk initiatives are rolled-out and required awareness is created across the line of business team members
- Develop and implement an effective change management process for any changes in the standard operating environment. This would involve identifying the risks associated with the change, conducting risk assessment and putting in place a risk mitigation plan working with the stakeholders
- Implement and perform risk assessment and quality assurance reviews, periodic monitoring and reporting.
- Perform risk identification, mitigation plan development and risk reporting
- Knowledge of the operational risk & compliance framework and disciplines primarily in the banking industry and its related operations
- Act as a subject matter expert and demonstrate in-depth knowledge and conceptual clarity on the primary risk program supported or on the enterprise business area supported
Market Skills and Certifications
Essential Qualifications
- Candidates must be a college graduate
- Must have at least 8-10 years of total experience, preferably in the banking and financial industry
- Must have at least 3-5 years of experience in and knowledge of the operational risk & compliance framework and disciplines primarily in the banking industry and its related operations.
- Proficiency and understanding nuances of risk reporting to meet the needs of various stakeholders and adapting to changing needs and requirements will be critical.
- Demonstrate collaboration, strong negotiation, communication, presentation and influence skills
- Proven ability in exercising independent judgment and applying prudent risk mitigation principles
- Consulting experience with senior management teams. Ability to work well in cross-functional, direct and indirect teams.
- Must be willing to work in McKinley Hill, Taguig City
- Core working hours: 3:00PM to 12:00MN PHT +8 with adjustments from time to time depending on the business need
