About the Role:
In this role, the .NET Developer will deliver applications that support the automation strategies of the Support Systems Engineering team for Citco Fund Services. This incorporates a product suite which supports Citco's monitoring strategy, operational automation and transparency, and self-service strategies. The Support Systems Engineering group has been recently formed to drive automation and best-practice operating strategies in preparation for global Cloud operations. The role is situated in the Manila office, which is Citco's expanding development hub in Asia.
This role partners with application owners, development and QA leads, applications support and infrastructure teams to ensure applications are operated in our production environment in a highly reliable and cost-effective manner. The development includes modern .NET-stack web development, both in new modules and green field developments, and collaboration with development leads and architects.
Job Duties in Brief:
• Deliver software to improve monitoring, availability, scalability and efficiency of Citco services
• Influence and create new designs, architectures, standards and methods for large-scale distributed systems
• Contribution to automated build process
• Systems documentation and knowledge base management
About You:
The successful candidate is an energetic and effective team contributor with a passion for software development, new technologies and automation. Must have familiarity with best practices in application management, and confidence in designing and developing modern applications
Experience and Technical Skills
• 3+ years of professional hands-on experience of the full SDLC of enterprise application development
• Proficiency in the .Net stack: C#, SQL Server, IIS, MVC, Web API
• Familiarity working with and integrating with Oracle databases
• Proficiency with frontend JavaScript, JQuery, Angular or similar
• Advanced knowledge of object-oriented programming, relational databases and software
Familiarity with Agile/KanBan SDLC practices
• Understanding and demonstrated proficiency with core software development processes - debugging, code tuning, code management and branching, coding styles and refactoring
• Build management, code management, debugging and code optimization
Education
• Bachelors' degree or equivalent experience
• Certification and training in one or more technology stacks
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and training
Desired skills and expertise
• Open-source contribution
• Cloud application architecture, AWS infrastructure
• DevOps implementation experience
• Experience in a financial services company
• Experience with SOA and Micro-Services
