SummaryReporting to ASEAN CFO, the Senior Financial controller ASEAN East is a partner and a support for driving the finance activity of East ASEAN area (Philippines and Guam). She/he manages, analyses, controls the financial information needed for the company and for the group regarding this area as well as lead and administrate all accounting activities and internal controls. She/he ensure the accurate and timely completion of all local and group accounting and fiscal tasks in respect with IFRS and local standard. She/he helps the company to reach higher economic standards through effective financial & business planning, resource allocation and management of business performance, both short term & long term.
She/he ensures that the business activity is conducted in full compliance with corporate guidelines and policies in an efficient/profitable way.Major Responsibilities:
Be a partner to improve profitability and optimize the funds invested in the subsidiary by managing cost control.
Monitor activities through regular variance analysis between actual and forecast/budget so as to identify problems and develop corrective action plans with management.
Be responsible of the efficient follow up of operational expenses and margins.
Work with business department to monitor actual cost/expenses, review financial results with business header on a monthly basis.
Alert promptly the ASEAN Chief Financial Officer of any possible risks and propose corrective actions.
Provide internal clients indicators to enhance the management of the activity. Be the referent as financial controller for operational team.
Coordinate and organize the accounting and internal control activities:
Ensure the processing of all accounting data in terms of corporate and statutory requirements
Control the security of company funds, assets, credit and collections, inter-company, internal audits and controls.
Production of the financial and statutory reports including tax filling
Preparation completion and submission of monthly & quarterly corporate reporting
Undertake end of period process
Cash management
Providing fast accurate decision-oriented data at lowest cost
Be the key contact for the external auditors
Support CFO in the management of the ASEAN budget process in accordance with the countries and corporate guidelines.
Contribute to the annual budget, forecast and mid-term plan (schedule management, hypothesis gathering and PL/OPEX construction, review meetings organization in liaise with CFO).
Challenge the operational team at each step of the process.Support the ASEAN CFO in the finance management activities.
Improve the quality of the management information (Especially but not limited to SAP and business intelligence tools)
Support CFO/GM and corporate management in any key project of the company, i.e. ad-hoc tasks, cost effective study, IB profit margin, key initiatives following up.
Be the key contact with the company secretary firms and ensure proper finance and corporate administrative tasks completionsAccounting and controlling main tasks (not exhaustive):
Manage and supervise all accounting tasks for the closing process (monthly, quarterly and annually).
Review and control P&L and Balance Sheet in-line with Group standards and local GAAP.
Provide management with daily, weekly and monthly strategic tools, monitors & reports to drive the business results especially on Net Sales, OPEX and Margins.
Establish and maintain Internal Controls, Financial Compliance, adherence to enhanced due diligence and effective monitoring with training and education of staff.
Ensure that the necessary reconciliations and controls are in place to guaranty the accuracy of the financial data/information and analysis.Responsibilities
Bachelor degree in Finance/Administrative Management, CPA/Master’s in Management preferred
Minimum of 7 years relevant experience with progressive responsibilities
Strong with International Accounting Standards IFRS or USGAAP. Big 4 accounting experience is a plus.
Full proficiency in English.
Knowledge of ERP systems, SAP, MS Office and Database Management
The successful candidate should have a strong work ethic, ability for problem solving, capable of multi-tasking, excellent communication/interpersonal skills, collaborative with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail. He must be self-motivated, good team spirit oriented, with leadership skills to influence transversally and drive projects to results.
