Senior Cognos Developer

Location: Las Pinas Key Responsibilities Responsible for the design, development, implementation and support of enterprise Business Intelligence (BI) reports.
Working with cross-functional teams, participate to gather and document reporting requirements to meet business needs.
Lead the requirements gathering, analysis, SIT, and UAT as part of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Support application deployment requests initiated by Change Requests.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, and assess and adjust quickly to changing priorities.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Understands dependencies and timing issues between source systems and data warehouse operations.
QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field from an accredited college or university preferred.
3 to 5 years of relevant experience in IBM Cognos Business Intelligence tools (preferably v10.x).
Proficiency in Cognos architecture, Data Manager (ETL), Framework Manager, Transformer, Report Studio, Query Studio, Analysis Studio & Administration.
Strong SQL and PL/SQL (Optional) skills required.
Prior experience of working in manufacturing industry, Oracle ERP as source systems will be an added advantage.
Strong understanding of data warehouse and business intelligence concepts, data modelling concepts and best practice methodologies.
Experience in working with relational and multi-dimensional data sources.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
Exposure to other ETL / Reporting tools (optional)
