Job Description As a Senior AU Tax Accountant , you will leverage your extensive tax knowledge to excel in the preparation of tax returns and activity statements, ensuring compliance with the latest Australian tax regulations. Your expertise will extend to the meticulous preparation of work papers, meticulously reconciling them to the financial statement stage.

Schedule: Day shift (7AM to 4PM)
Work Arrangement: Remote/Work from Home
What do you need to succeed? An accounting degree or a related degree with a major in accounting. Completion of or working towards CA / CPA qualifications. A minimum of 3-4 years of accounting and taxation experience within Australia. A basic understanding of Australian taxation legislation, including but not limited to GST, FBT, CGT, Division 7A. The ability to identify issues and communicate effectively and efficiently. Experience with MYOB, Xero, Reckon, and Quickbooks. Experience with the Reckon APS program (desirable). Proficient English writing and verbal skills. Excellent communication skills with a strong focus on relationship and stakeholder management. Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize your workload. A collaborative team player who understands the importance of building strong internal relationships across the wider Findex business. The ability to meet productivity and turnaround metrics.
What awaits you in this role? Demonstrate tax knowledge by preparing tax returns, activity statements, and staying current with the latest Australian tax rules. Prepare work papers and reconcile them to the financial statement stage. Prepare financial statements, income tax returns, and other lodgments for companies, partnerships, trusts, and various individual businesses. Assist with general bookkeeping duties. Assist clients with tax planning, FBT, payroll tax, and STP. Engage in business advisory projects, including budgets, cashflows, and management reporting. Ensure all documentation, including work papers and client files, is maintained in line with Findex Group compliance requirements.
