Description
A Sr Supply Chain Data Analyst is responsible in collecting and analyzing supply chain data. He/She is responsible in recommending improvements to boost performance and reduce costs.
Sr Supply Chain Data Analyst will perform technical analyses to forecast demand, understand customer preferences, simulate business outcomes, and optimize inventory investments. He/She will develop persuasive interactive visualizations to influence high-impact business decisions.
Responsibilities
Duty 1: Metrics, Reporting and Analytics
Report Scoping and Data Gathering
- Gathers, manipulate and scrub supply chain related data needed as per pre defined instructions
-Extracts/generates quantitative information from procurement systems using standard queries. - -Combines extracted data from different system tools.
-Performs data validation to achieve data consistency
-Conducts research to gather qualitative information(market date, industry trends) from internal and external sources that will be used for analysis.
-Tracks and studies trends and developments in assigned functional areas.
Data Manipulation
-Consolidate and standardize data structure from different data sources
-Calculates data using available fields within the gathered information (statistics)
Data Analysis
-Identify and present predictive drivers/leading indicators, trends, outliers, and patterns that uncover new insights to help guide enterprise-wide business insightsPerform multiple testing to measure impact of identified initiativesBuild optimization models for scenario testing future business outcomes based on internal and external dataBe able to ‘tell a story’ using advanced analytics and data visualization techniques while independently exploring actionable insights that identify incremental productivity and optimization opportunities within the Supply ChainDerive data driven insights in close partnership with Supply Chain, Operations and other teams to identify opportunities for cost reduction, cash flow improvements, and service level optimizations
-Leverage visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and other BI tools to perform interactive data exploration that help businesses and senior leaders understand impact of identified opportunities
ReportingBuilds new reports and templates on top if existing business systems( e.g Oracle, SAP etc) nad makes them available for usersDesign, develop, and maintain scalable, automated, user-friendly solutions, reports, dashboards, etc. that will support our analytical, operations and business needs.
Duty 2: Operations Support
Follow business process in updating the system to ensure accuracy of information
-Create a new Documented Information related documents and processes (e.g. procedures, forms, templates, manuals, articles, external documented information, etc.) based on the documentation guidelines (e.g. identification, description, format)
- Leads in handling a Continuous Improvement Project using a problem-solving methodology.
-Trains new hires and ensures that they have sufficient knowledge and skills before going live or performing their work alone /independently
-Support projects related to quality improvement(suc as Think Customer, QMS etc.) and handles adhoc tasks to support the objectives of managementEducation:
BS IE, BS OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT, BSBA in Supply Chain, Purchasing or other Engineering/Management related discipline., Math , Statistics
Job Related Experience:
(4) four years relative experience in Buying, Planning, Supply Chain, Logistics, data mining, manipulation, analysis and reporting
Specific Knowledge:Data gathering, Mining, Manipulation and Analysis Advanced Excel and Data Story TellingStatistical Software (proficient in various tools for qualitative and quantitative analysis)Good working knowledge on data interpretation & business processesKnowledge in supply chain, buying, planning functions
Skills:Data Analytics General skillset – Visualization, Communication, Analysis,Intermediate experience in open source programming languages (R/Python)Advance level SQL skills with demonstrated experience with large data sets.
