Job Description:
The position is responsible for monitoring and operating the functions associated with the Supervisor Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) in Coal Handling System in accordance with standard operating procedures and equipment specifications to ensure safe, reliable and efficient handling of coal.


Monitors and operates Using SCADA the coal unloading, supply, dust suppression, dust collection, coal sampling system and other auxiliaries. Coordinates with Ship Unloader and Stacker and Reclaimer Operator to have smooth, safe, and efficient coal handling operation. Performs continuous analysis in Coal Handling System conditions. Monitors flow rate, totalizer, current, and suppression pressure in Coal Handling System. Monitors running hours or motors/equipment needed for the PMS. Coordinates with Auxiliary Operators to check alarms and faults identified in the system. Reports coal handling abnormalities to Coal Handling Supervisor. Assists Operators and Utilities in troubleshooting and rectifying equipment fault or trouble over the radio. Performs Lock-Out-Tag-Out if necessary during maintenance activities. Performs rack-in/rack-out activities to all coal handling circuit breakers. Logs all activities monitored during the shift. Records equipment operating parameters and condition from SCADA and on-site. Complies with occupational safety, health as well as environmental rules and regulations to prevent accidents, illness, and adverse effects on the environment. Complies with housekeeping policies within his/her area of responsibility during assigned shift to maintain standards of cleanliness and orderliness of plant equipment and premises. Minimum Qualifications:
1 year experience in SCADA operation Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Preferably with experience in a Coal fired Power Plant
