Safety Officer / Site Admin

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Prepares and implements site-based policies, procedures and systems to provide safe & secure operations.
Enforce compliance with local regulatory health and security standards as well as site-based company house rules
Performs regular safety audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure appropriate corrective and preventive actions
Attending safety meetings on-site
Spearheads all accident/incident investigation, reporting and closure for insurance claims
Tracks statistics/data pertaining to company safety
In-charge of the daily administrative matters in project sites including but not limited to:
Preparation of request for manpower forms and minutes of coordination & toolbox meetings
Facilitating purchase or item request related to work safety, housekeeping & admin tasks
Securing necessary permit(s) (ex. gondola, hotwork permits, other work permits)
Ensuring housekeeping is conducted in the work areas and "barracks" of designated project site.
Administer First Aid, coordinates with health personnel and facilities and institutions to ensure safety of injured site-based staff
Ensure a Drug-Free work place
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidate preferably a graduate of related BS / Bachelor’s course
Must possess training/s in Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) or Construction Occupational Safety and Health (COSH).
Preferably with training and certification on First Aid
Familiarity with the construction industry and past experience is a must, Preferably with background in facade/glass and aluminum industry
Computer literate
Detail-oriented, professional, honest with time and materials
Should possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to understand, analyze and interpret technical procedures, government regulations, drawings and specifications.
Possession of a Short Courses Certificate NCII in Scaffolding erection preferred
