Safety Officer (Project Based)Qualifications: Graduate of any 4-yr course, preferably Engineering courseAt least 2-3 years work experience as Safety OfficerMandatory forty (40)-hour basic OSH training course applicable to the industryExcellent communication and writing skills.Can conduct trainings.Physically fit to conduct regular field inspections.Team PlayerAttention to detailOrganizedResponsibilities: Support the development of OHS policies and programsConduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measuresAssist HSSE Officer to Initiate and organize OHS training of employeesInspect premises and the work of personnelto identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment)Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthyRecord and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle non recurrencePrepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical informationPrepare and submit reportorial requirements of safety, health and environment standardsAssist HSSE Officer to prepare annual management plans and programs such as HIRAC (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Control), Safety, Health and Environment Programs, Emergency Response ProceduresPromote safety culture through tailor-fit plans and programsConduct periodic risk assessment and auditsDevelop strategies and measures to minimize/eliminate OSH and Environment Risks in the workplace
