About the Role:
The Risk and Control Team (‘RCT’) is a group wide resource, which covers all of the divisions within the Citco Group of companies as defined on www.citco.com. As an integral part of the risk management function, the RCT strategy is to work to support the organization to implement a risk management and control framework.
The RCT is based in Amsterdam (The Netherlands), Cork (Ireland), Jersey City (USA), Manila (The Philippines), and Toronto (Canada)
Job Duties in Brief:
Report to the relevant Risk and Control Managers (Business and Information Technology), cultivate and maintain excellent relationships with management, external auditors and RCT staff.
Involvement in the day-to-day execution of the annual SOC engagement in a quality manner including timely work paper completion and review. This will include liaising and working with other key individuals responsible on related SOC review work as well as Business and Information Technology representatives across various offices, locations and time zones.
Involvement in the execution of compliance based reviews including responsibility for work paper review identification of risk issues, report preparation, and escalation of relevant matters identified in the review process to business and RCT management.
Involvement in the evaluation of Information Technology operating effectiveness controls as they relate to the SOC engagement and compliance based reviews.
Involvement in the preparation of reports to senior management on SOC 1 and compliance based review activities.
Reports include initial scope documents, quarterly reporting and ad hoc reporting.
Foster risk and control awareness across the organization by working with management and second line of defence functions.
Plan and develop scope, work program, and appropriate procedures for each compliance based review in accordance with departmental guidelines, IIA Standards, COBIT framework, and relevant laws and regulations.
Maintain expertise and pursue training to keep abreast of new and proposed developments in the SOC1, Risk
Management and Auditing fields and consider the impact on the company through various industry organizations.
The candidate should be educated to at least Bachelor’s degree level from an accredited 4 year college/university.
A relevant and recognized professional qualification as a certified auditor and/or equivalent level within Risk Management is desirable.
Relevant Information Technology audit knowledge is strongly preferred.
One to three years’ experience of working in a progressive risk management/internal controls/internal audit function of a financial institution/Big 4 audit firms is required. Ideally, the candidate will have experience in the financial services and/or alternative investments industry
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio is expected. • Preferable to have experience with automated internal audit applications/tools, HP Quality Center, ACL, SharePoint, VBA, etc
Excellent written and spoken English is a prerequisite
