POSITION PURPOSE The Quantity Surveyor shall be responsible for the Projects' financial and contractual monitoring & control .
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Prepare Budget Estimates during various stages in Project Construction: o Schematic Design – Initial Budget Estimate with Assumptions
o Design Development – Refined Budget Estimate
o Contract Documentation – Validation of Budget Estimate
Assist in providing recommendations for Value Engineering initiatives during the course of design and construction Lead in preparation of Terms of Reference for engagement of contractor, supplier, service provider requirements Lead in preparation of Bid Documents, Bills of Quantities Assist in pre-qualification of Contractors and Suppliers Assist in Pre-bid Meetings Finalize Contract Agreements upon engagement of Contractors, Suppliers, and Service Providers Evaluation of Progress Billings Evaluation of Variation Orders Evaluation of Time Extension Requests Conduct market research pertaining to quantity surveying rends, and determine their suitability Strategize on how the Company will minimize its expenditures in terms of quantity surveying initiatives QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering PRC Licensed Engineer preferred EXPERIENCE:
At least 5 years cumulative work experience in Quantity Surveyor's role in contracting, QS consultation and/or construction management At least 3 years cumulative experience in Contracts Management role in contracting, QS consultation and/or construction management REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
Ability to interpret proper take-off of materials and scopes of work from shop drawings and specifications Updated in cost of key materials in Construction Knowledge in construction costs and timelines POSITION LEVEL: SUPERVISORY
