Purchasing, Procurement & Inventory (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)
The Purchasing Supervisor will oversee the purchasing department of the company; procuring a wide variety of products and supplies for the company according to set requirements and budget. The incumbent shall direct the daily workflow and schedules of the department.
Duties and Responsibilities: Negotiating with and maintaining a positive business relationship with internal and external partners from different geographical areas; Liaising with other departments to maintain effective and relevant import activities and support concerning the organization's sales, purchasing, materials management, distribution, production, and overall operating functions; Developing and managing contract terms with local suppliers (existing and new) attaining one that strikes a balance between quality and cost; Managing the movement of company-procured products, equipment, and materials coming from international vendors and suppliers; Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in relevant fields, such as business, finance, and customs A minimum 5 years of experience as an Import and Procurement Manager from any industry or of any relevant managerial position in a construction industry and/or customs brokerage firm having an extensive working knowledge of importation Familiarity with construction materials, goods, and services is an advantage. Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management systems or any relevant software Exhibits excellent time management skills and organizes own team effectively and efficiently. Excellent negotiation, networking, conflict management, and communication skills.
