Purchasing Section Head

Description:
1. Plans, directs and controls the acquisition, movement and storage of production materials and supplies for the plant operation.

2. Strategize supplier selection, risk assessment and program for supplier network

3. Facilitates evaluation of best quality materials through standard reliability and laboratory analysis.

4. Ensures that materials are purchased at the right time, right price, right quantity and right supplier with due considerations on the quality requirements of the company.

5. Ascertain smooth flow of materials in the warehouse, ensuring also that stocks are well kept, stored in appropriate locations and properly accounted for.

6. Ensures that procurement activities are in conformance to established policies, quality standards and delivery schedules in support for continuing production.

7. Checks and monitors subordinates’ daily job activities/performance, daily output,accomplished and pending jobs.

8. Overall management and responsibility and authority to decide on various matters that relates to Purchasing, Warehousing and Traffic activities.

9. Monitors traffic control regarding deliveries and sales targets.

10. Supervises Purchasing Structural Flow.

11. Attends to Internal Quality Audit in line with ISO procedure & requirements.

12. Responsible in updating ISO Procedures of Purchasing.

13. Monitors driver’s deliveries and itineraries as well as overtime of drivers & staff.

14. In charge of the evaluation of all sections’ cost cutting output program.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree Holder
Must have experience in Supply Chain Management
Knowledgeable in Logistics and Warehouse Management
