Reports to: Head Bartender and Head Chef
Job Overview: Uma Nota, an upcoming culinary and cocktail destination in Manila, is looking for a skilled Purchasing Manager/Officer to join our team. This pivotal role involves working closely with the Head Bartender and Head Chef to establish and nurture supplier relationships, develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for purchasing, and manage par stock levels. The ideal candidate will have a profound knowledge of and connections within the local supplier market, ensuring Uma Nota has access to the finest ingredients and supplies. This
Key Responsibilities:
Supplier Relationship Management: Forge and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers. Negotiate contracts and terms to ensure the best quality and pricing for products.
Inventory Management: Oversee and manage inventory levels, ensuring optimal par stock levels are maintained in coordination with the culinary and bar teams.
Procurement Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective procurement strategies that align with our brand's quality standards and budgetary requirements.
SOP Development and Compliance: Create and enforce Standard Operating Procedures for all purchasing activities to streamline processes and maintain consistency.
Market Analysis: Regularly analyze market trends and supplier dynamics to identify potential new suppliers and products, ensuring Uma Nota stays ahead in offering innovative and quality offerings.
Budget Management: Work closely with the finance team to manage the purchasing budget, including forecasting and cost control measures.
Quality Control: Ensure all procured items meet the high-quality standards of Uma Nota, conducting regular quality checks and coordinating with suppliers for any necessary returns or adjustments.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate with the culinary and bar teams to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring all purchases align with menu requirements and creative direction.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Proven experience in a purchasing role, preferably in the hospitality or F&B industry. Strong knowledge of the local supplier market and existing relationships with vendors.
Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
Proficient in inventory management software and MS Office.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing needs.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
