Key Responsibilities:-Assist Purchasing Manager: Collaborate closely with the Purchasing Manager to execute procurement strategies and achieve departmental goals.-Vendor Communication: Communicate with suppliers and vendors to obtain quotes, negotiate prices, and ensure timely delivery of goods.-Purchase Order Processing: Generate purchase orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with company policies and budgetary constraints.-Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, monitor stock levels, and assist in inventory reconciliation.-Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and vendors to facilitate smooth transactions and resolve any issues that may arise.-Research and Analysis: Conduct research on potential suppliers, products, and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize purchasing processes.-Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain comprehensive documentation of purchasing activities, contracts, and vendor agreements.-Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the purchasing team, including organizing meetings, preparing reports, and handling correspondence.-Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, while also maintaining high standards of product quality.-Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement within the purchasing department and contribute to the implementation of efficiency-enhancing initiatives.Qualifications:-Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.-Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a purchasing or procurement environment.-Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.-Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with purchasing software or ERP systems.-Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.-Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.-Knowledge of procurement best practices, supply chain management principles, and relevant regulations.
