We drive changes in practice and policy at local, national and global levels using our reach, experience and knowledge.We have been building powerful partnerships for children for over 80 years, and are now active in more than 70 countries.THE OPPORTUNITYIn the last three years, Plan International Philippines has been implementing interventions to support marginalized young people from urban poor communities by increasing their participation in civil society and governance processes so that they are able to provide input in setting local policy.Building on the lessons and good practices from previous projects, Plan International will be scaling-up key interventions through collaboration, cooperation, and strengthening of strategic partnerships with civil society organizations (CSOs) and advocate for more local government and community support that are accessible for young people. The scale-up of interventions will be implemented in current partner communities and in selected communities in Eastern Visayas (Tacloban City) and Central Mindanao (Cotabato City) and in the National Capital Region.In line with this project, Plan International invites competent, experienced, and committed professionals to fill the following position.The Project Manager will lead the project team in the overall coordination of situational analysis, planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and learning of the grant-funded project.**Further, as the Project Manager**:You will lead in the quarterly project planning, monitoring, and assessment with project staff and partners at the provincial and municipal levels.You will coordinate with identified government agencies, non-government organizations, academe, and other service providers to facilitate the implementation of the Urban DRR grant-funded project.You will consolidate, prepare, and submit required donor reports to the Country Programme Manager within agreed deadlines.You will facilitate coaching, mentoring, and leading the project staff towards achieving the set objectives.You will represent and promote Plan International in important events at the community, municipal, provincial, regional and national levels.Plan International is a development and humanitarian organization. In exceptional cases, you will be asked to support emergency response activities in the communities in your assigned covered areas.DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?**To be successful in the role you will need among other things**:University graduate in Social Science, Community Development, Management, Urban Planning, Disaster Risk Management, or any related course.Minimum of three years of project management work experience, preferably in a supervisory role.Has relevant knowledge and experience in projects or programs related to disaster risk management, climate change adaptation, safe school campaigns, education in emergencies, and implementing risk reduction and resilience program advocacies.Ability to prioritize and manage a complex and varied workload, often to tight deadlinesStrong competency in critical thinking, result-oriented, and communication skills.Supervisory work experience preferably in an international NGO and working on grant-funded projects is a plus.Strong background in project management, partnership building/networking, advocacy, NGO leadership, and management is highly desirable.Very good command of verbal and written communication skills and the ability to relate to people from all backgrounds.Applicants must be based in the Philippines and a Filipino national.**Location**: Makati City.
