Job Description 1. Manage the production planning and adjust as necessary.
2. Plans, organizes and directs the manufacturing operations to ensure the most effective return on assets.
3. Initiates plans and processes which minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital.
4. Assures attainment of business objectives and productions schedules while ensuring product standards that will exceed customers? expectations.
5. Implements manufacturing strategies and action plans to ensure that the facility supports strategic initiatives.
6. Establishes group and individual accountabilities throughout assigned departments for problem solving and cost reduction, both on a permanent and ad-hoc basis, depending on need.
7. Encourages use of new techniques and focuses on fact based problem solving.
8. Improves manpower utilization within existing departments and processes.
9. Manages spending against budget, controlling spending in relation to changes in production volume.
10. Works to establish management practices throughout assigned areas which include all. Employees? positive involvement with opportunity for constructive input and action
11. Continually improves safety record by addressing both physical safety issues and employee safety attitudes while ensuring compliance of all safety procedures.
13. Ensures planned KPI?s of efficiency and performance are met or exceeded.
15. Monitors product standards and implements quality control programs.
16. Implements and drives continuous improvement activities through implementation of change management process and best practices.
17. Optimizes resource utilization by implementation of an effective organization.
18. Works with managers to implement the company's policies and goals.
19. Ensures coaching and development of resources to meet business?s objectives.
20. Ensures that products are produced on time and are of good quality;
21. Manages the adherence to prescribed procedures to ensure first pass quality meets or exceeds planned goals.
23. Ensures complete compliance to prescribed QMS, and 5S processes.
24. Tracks competencies of subordinates and provides leadership and development as required to achieve the objectives.
25. Prepares and executes short and long term department goals to meet plant goals and quantifies those results.
26. Prepares and justifies department budget recommendations and capital expenditures for support systems and equipment.
27. Develops and maintains production procedures manual, work instructions / job aids to address day to day tasks.
28. Ensures work is completed correctly and on time by prioritizing as necessary, assigning work, and setting work schedules.
29. Adheres to plant and corporate safety policies.
30. May assist in other areas or perform other duties as required by fluctuating business needs.
Other qualifications:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree , Engineering (Industrial), Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Metal Fabrication/Tool & Die/Welding) or equivalent.
At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Preferably Supervisor / 5 Yrs & Up Experienced Employees specializing in Purchasing/Inventory/Material & Warehouse Management or equivalent.
