Position Purpose
The incumbent is responsible for identifying, planning (together with the TP Manager) and coordinating all technical related activities and aspects in order to ensure maximum production equipment availability while meeting the targets for all Tobacco Processing KPIs (CpK, Out of Spec Ratio, MIC Ratio, Breakdown Ratio, Beetle Count).

Continuously identifies maintenance or technical improvement needs and builds the Annual Maintenance Budget for the entire Primary area. Responsible with following up, reporting and justifying any variation on the actual usage of the maintenance budget for Primary.
Responsible for daily Primary Process Control activities and delivers the expected performance levels for main Primary Process Indicators (CpK, MIC, Out of Spec, Breakdown Ratio).
Is an active member in any Waste Management Process and/or Yield Improvement Project Teams.
Accountable to plan, organise and follow-up of Electronic and Mechanic Predictive, Preventive and Corrective Maintenance programs. Works on breakdown analysis and prepares relevant maintenance strategies to ensure equipment performance and availability.
Responsible for equipment database maintenance for Primary Department. Power user for SAP Plant Maintenance module. Responsible for the good functioning of SAP PM in Primary according to JTI global procedures.
Continuously identifies training needs and prepares Annual Technical Training Plan and delivers it to the local HR department. Delivers technical training sessions where and when needed.
Together with Engineering and QI Functions plans and implements all Primary Process Control Improvement activities and leads any other Primary Process Improvement activities.
Offers support or has full coordinatation of any special project such as equipment qualification when assigned by the management team.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (licensed preferred). Experience working in an FMCG company is an advantage.
Skills, Competencies & Languages
Fluent English. Competent in using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word). Basic knowledge in SAP or any maintenance system. Able to lead group of technicians. Able to understand and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings. Experience in project management is an added advantage.
