The Commercial Operations AH, Senior Controller is responsible to provide effective and efficient support to the AH senior management in the areas of Controlling, Planning, Reporting, and Business Partnering to enable the AH business to take appropriate business decisions or corrective actions to achieve consistent profitable and sustainable growth.
This role is responsible to maintain financial tools, models, frameworks and templates in accordance with business/function needs and in alignment with ROPU Finance.
Duties & Responsibilities:
STRATEGY / DRIVING BUSINESS RESULTS:Direct and coordinate financial planning and budgeting within the business unit to develop required business plans, decisions and or corrective actions in line with ROPU guidanceProcess and report consolidated information to OPU and ROPU AH management and prepare required data for transmission via reporting systems (e.g. Prisma).Conduct financial performance results, regular review of business KPIs to measure net sales and operating expenditureSupport OPU management in timely strategic and operational decision making by providing financial analysis, evaluation and trends.Determine profitable opportunities for business unit and implement processes and systems to achieve consistent profitable and sustainable growth (systems and structures optimization, costs analysis…)
PROCESS / CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION:Maintain financial reporting tools, financial models, analytical frameworks and templates in accordance with business/function needs and in alignment with ROPU FinanceEnsure OPU compliance with internal guidelines and Standard Operational ProceduresParticipate in adhoc projects and support Head of Finance to seek improvement opportunities within the Finance OrganizationCoordinate with external auditors to plan and execute annual audit for the AH business.Develop and document internal controls, and maintain accounting compliance.Act as the coordinator for AHMC Meetings
PEOPLE:Support knowledge and skill sharing within the ROPU Controlling organizationBuild relationships with respective functions within the OPU
Interfaces
>Function/Business partners in AH, Finance, HR, and Management
>Other groups and functions within Regional Finance and local Finance
>ROPU (especially Controlling subsidiaries), AH and Finance organization within the ROPU (and partially external consultants)
Skills & experiences
>Controlling experience incl. systems, processes and guidelines required
>Strong functional and good business know-how, business acumen, strong technical skills in systems and tools, strong process thinking, understanding "big picture", future oriented, ability to look beyond own responsibility
>Broad overall finance knowledge incl. accounting, tax, treasury and compliance
>Strong analytical thinking, esp. ability to understand and work on complex controlling, business and finance related topics
Competencies
>Agile, flexible, learning & sharing, able to deal with very different cultures and to work under pressure; team player
>Able to speak the "language" of the Business Partners, strong communication and presentation skills, ability to prepare topics and to explain them in a way understandable to non-experts
Requirements:
>Bachelors degree with Major in Accounting or other related majors
>Certified Public Accountant is preferred but not a must
>5-8 years Controlling experience incl. systems, processes and guidelines required
>3-4 years Finance experience (accounting, tax, treasury) strongly preferred
>Preferably with experience in SAP
