Responsibilities: Managing the Threading Operations & machine fleet – internal and external partners to ensure that safety and quality are prioritized and machinery issues are dealt with quickly to reduce downtime. Ensuring that all staff understand their roles and responsibilities, and are motivated and engaged in the continuous improvement of themselves, their workplace, and their work systems. Ensure the site is fully compliant with the company's "Life Saving Rules" and that best practice approaches for safety are implemented at all sites in the region. To lead Health & Safety initiatives, drive a proactive accident prevention approach, promote a positive zero accident H&S culture, use effective HSE, policies, procedures and tools throughout the entire region. Responsible for site safety performance and attitude, ensuring all staff and visitors are safe. Support of the site operations in all locations. Ensuring quality and output are measured and recorded, and that all documentation is filed properly for future reference. Supporting the warehouse management teams, to ensure consumable stock & machines spare parts are accurate and controlled. Monitoring Operational overhead costs like consumables and spare parts. Sourcing of machinery and relevant spare parts & consumables to meet sales forecasts. Ensuring any machinery safety/breakdown issues are reported quickly to minimize downtime and maintenance programmes are in place for all machinery. Identify industry best practices and recommend production techniques that will improve safety and output. Helping to perform risk assessments on new and existing machinery and processes. Training, coaching and mentoring staff & partners to promote safety, quality, and best practices. Ensuring and promoting compliance with all H&S systems and procedures. Ensure that operational personnel comply fully with company policies and procedures. Keeping record of & tracking all the operation & safety related documents & timely submission to HQ as per company policies & requirement. Qualifications: Possesses excellent H&S awareness. Ideally with mechanical engineering / engineering background, tertiary qualification, with 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Ability to coach and train others in processes and techniques. A successful track record of change and process improvement and management. Experience in Operations Management. Knowledge of Hydraulics, Metal fabrication, Welding, Machining, and Forming processes. Experience in a fast-moving manufacturing environment & fleet management process. Strong leadership skills with the ability to maintain a wide range of multi-site relationships at all levels of the organization by utilizing influence, communication, facilitation, and presentation to effectively define and manage positive change. Able to motivate individuals to achieve and exceed goals by establishing accountabilities, clarifying performance expectations, agreeing to high standards and measures, monitoring and reviewing performance, and providing timely and relevant feedback. Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time with excellent planning and time management skills. Customer focused and target driven. High level of integrity, ethics and able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Word.
