About the Role:
08 S&P Global Commodity Insights The Team: The Metals & Mining News team of S&P Global Commodity Insights covers major trends worldwide. We are a global team of writers, reporters, and editors that provide our readers with a comprehensive overview of the metals and mining industry.
The Impact: Newswriters for the Metals & Mining News team help shape the decisions of the industry's stakeholders through different kinds of output. We work together with company representatives, government agencies, and other experts to deliver relevant analyses and roundups of important topics.
What's in it for you: Develop expertise in a forward-facing, rapidly evolving industry Create products that require critical thinking and creativity Be part of a team with a global footprint Responsibilities: Writes briefs from press releases, government documents, and third-party reports involving the top metals and mining companies and the wider industry Vets incoming leads to determine newsworthy topics worth covering as a brief or with a value-adding story Participates in the production of a suite of daily and weekly features focused on trends, analysis, and market movements in metals and mining Formulates and executes plans, or accepts assignments, for exclusive stories on the industry, supported by data, charts, and interviews Shares insights on the current state of the industry by attending talks and chasing interviews during virtual or face-to-face events Determines the factors behind the top companies' quarterly, bi-annual, or annual performance, and identifies new directions and developments, by listening to earnings calls What We're Looking For: Mastery of the English language Two years of journalism experience Amenable to APAC afternoon shift The Schedule: 1pm to 10pm
