The Newswriter plays an essential role in writing and publishing top-quality news stories that reach an audience of decision-makers. You will have the opportunity to hone your writing skills, work with S&P Global's extensive in-house data sets and gain industry knowledge in specific business sectors. ? Responsibilities Writing news briefs and daily/weekly features based on press releases and company filings. Identify strong story angles for data-driven stories leveraging S&P Global's extensive in-house data sets Vetting company websites, stock exchange feeds, newswires and other sources to gather and monitor information Initiative to grow own industry knowledge, drawing on in-house training tools and other resources Collaborate with journalists across the globe Interview industry sources for commentary on data-driven news pieces Build and expand a panel of industry experts to contribute commentary for our news reports What We're Looking For A proactive attitude and a keen eye for detail. Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines. A strong interest in business news and data journalism Strong initiative and collaboration skills Requirements A Bachelor's/College Degree, Journalism, Economics, Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Mass Communications or equivalent At least 1 year of news writing experience A high level grasp of English language grammar. Outstanding communication skills Open to work in a hybrid setup, with occasional night shifts on rotation with other team members.
