Network Operations Engineer

Responsibilities: Handling Incident/Problem tickets related to:
- Network, wireless, and VoIP Supporting:
- Network devices Juniper, Cisco, and 3 Com
- Security devices Juniper and Cisco
- Bandwidth management appliance A10 Providing:
- Motorola and Extreme wireless support
- IP address management and IP allocation
- Cisco call manager and Unity support
- Extension provisioning through CCM
- Voice mail box configuration through Unity Handling:
- Link failure issues
- Wireless network issues Coordinating escalation with service providers like:
- ATT and Ignisis Supporting:
- Cisco hard phone and soft phone installations Ensuring:
- Adherence to the SLA laid down by GC
- Adherence to the change management policy Reviewing Nimsoft alerts and taking corresponding action Requirements:
- Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model
- Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic, and network analytics tools
- Hands-on experience on Cisco Routers, Juniper SRX & Checkpoint
- Working knowledge of F5 load balancers
- Juniper certification added advantage Other Responsibilities:
- Monitoring performance and ensuring system availability and reliability
- Providing Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
- Working within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
- Selecting and implementing security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company's security team
- Coordinating with vendors and other IT teams for problem resolution
- Performing network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations
