Microbiology Analyst

Performs basic Microbiological testing services like Total Plate Count, Molds and Yeast count and Coliform Count- Performs tests on water quality (HPC, Enterobacteriaceae testing and MPN) Performs tests on the foodborne pathogen (Salmonella, E. coli and Coliform)- Performs tests on food (Finished Goods and In-process materials, Raw and Packaging materials) as this serve as a basis for product release- Performs test on the environment (Personnel and Equipment Swab/Plate Exposure) to detect harmful micoorganisms and to obtain information about sources of pollution and contamination- Examines physiological, morphological and cultural characteristics using microscope to identify and classify microorganismin human, water and food specimen- Performs or has knowledge in analysis of waste water/pollution control (BOD/COD)- Ensures the integrity of all items intended for microbiological testing following the prescribed procedure and according to GLP/GMP.- Performs decontamination of laboratory glasswares, microbiological testing accessories and samples.- Participates in validation/qualification activities such as cleaning validation, equipment qualification, method validation, process validation, personnel qualification and submits corresponding qualification/validation report.- Prepares weekly accomplishment report and other related technical/incident reports to the immediate superior.- Monthly inventory of reagents, culture media, glasswares and equipment in microbiology laboratory- Participates in OOS investigation.- Performs other functions that maybe assigned from time to time for the fulfillment of department goal and target**Qualifications**- Preferably a graduate of Science Course such as B.S. Microbiology B. S. Biology major in Microbiology or B.S.
