Logistics Manager

Job Description:
Duties and Responsibilities: Manage the product delivery function and performance of all contracted third-party hauling service providers operating within the market areas and distribution. Entire process involves: fleet/resource planning with reference to forecasted sales, extensive coordinating activities, real-time product dispatch planning and control, supervising the post delivery processes, and monitoring fleet performance.


Source-out third-party hauling service providers, negotiate contract terms and conditions at the least possible cost, and engage their services to achieve the company targeted. Ensure the daily availability of required fleet to match the dynamic market requirements. Develop incentive and penalty schemes to manage the performance of the service providers. Manage the overall performances of the hauling fleet and service providers. ?Manage the product supply chain; ensuring equitable and timely distribution and sourcing of finished products in coordination with Sales and Production, receiving of domestic and imported raw materials, including intermediate and subsequent handling of such goods at least possible cost.


Ensure availability of supply at all times per sales forecast or market demand. Formulate policies and distribution strategies that will continuously bring finished products to a highly competitive pricing levels and optimum commercial margins. Maintain and protect the company’s dominance in the delivered sales market. Negotiate and eventually manage the performance of all logistics service contracts. Manage the total distribution cost of logistics operations. Minimum Qualifications:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree , Post Graduate Diploma / Master's Degree, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent. At least 6 year(s) of working experience in the cement industry related field is required for this position. Has hands on exposure with cement industry for at least 3 to 5 years. Preferably Assistant Manager / Managers specializing in Logistics/Supply Chain or equivalent.
