We are exploring opening a small lodging facility (7 huts) in Masungi Georeserve for our trail visitors. We are looking for someone passionate about the environment, experiential education, and the outdoors to join our team particularly to handle hospitality operations. The Lodge Supervisor is an energetic, service-oriented individual who will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the loodge to ensure guest expectations are exceeded and a consistently high standard of customer service and cleanliness is maintained.
Duties:
- Lead, supervise, coordinate and monitor housekeeping and food & beverage service staff
- Assign and review the work of housekeeping and food & beverage service staff service staff
- Lead, train and coach new staff in job duties, safety procedures and lodge policies
- Create shift schedules and coordinate activities with other departments
- Greet and welcome guests, provide lodge orientation
- Evaluate performance of staff and provide feedback to manager
- Resolve customer complaints and other work-related problems
- Monitor base radio station as required
- Assist Chef with meal planning and inventory control
- Perform weekly grocery and supply runs
- Manage bookings and communicate effectively with reservation office
- Ensure smooth operation of the lodge
- Ensure an authentic experience that brings guests closer to nature and the environment
- Other duties as assigned
The Masungi Georeserve is an environment protection project, with a goal to promote sustainability, conservation, and education. Our BHAG is to form part of a UNESCO Geopark. Currently, the area has an effective conservation plan supported by an geotourism plan. The project site is in Baras, Rizal, but the project assistant will report for work in the Quezon City office.
